Students of Dundas Calvin Christian School have hearts for service. Their love for others was put into action this year already at five different community outreach events.
The last four Fridays in January a group of nine students participated in a service group that went to Hamilton Bibles for Missions Thrift Store, St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, Eva Rothwell Centre in north Hamilton and the Flamborough Food Bank.
Students helped these organizations by sorting and packaging toys, general cleaning, playing board games with residents, and delivering food.
On Monday, Feb. 8, Tracy Alkema’s 5th grade class visited St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas to deliver Valentine’s Day cards to residents there.
Dundas Calvin Christian School educates students from preschool through Grade 8 and is located at 542 Ofield Rd. N. in Dundas (5 minutes west of Waterdown).
