Testimonials

jversteegFirst and foremost, I believe each student is a unique image-bearer of Christ, blessed with gifts and talents that he or she is to use to serve God in His Kingdom. As a teacher in a Christian school, I have the wonderful task of challenging and encouraging each student to discern and develop these gifts and talents, whether it be in mathematics, language arts, science, fine arts, or in physical fitness. As I watch each student grow and develop, it is a task that gives me great joy.

talkemaThere is a real sense of Christian community at DCCS. Both staff and students are upheld in prayer by many of the families in our school community. Teachers are also supported by parents who volunteer frequently for various activities and work on a variety of committees to help the school run effectively. We are all pulling in the same direction: teaching children from a Christian perspective to help them see the Lordship of Christ in all areas of life and to live a life of service to our God.

jmiedemaI began teaching Gr. 7 at DCCS in 1981 and have taught many wonderful students. They have gone in multiple directions and have become strong Christian citizens contributing all over the world! I was always made to feel welcome here and have witnessed the continuation and commitment of Christian education through a few generations. The Dundas community has become a part of my family. I am thankful for the time I have spent here serving this school community.
